I hate to complain, but I need to for a minute. Last night as my neighbor and I were going to the gym we were talking/griping about the snow and how much we got yesterday and how this winter seems to be exceptionally cold and snowy. She looked at me and asked why I moved here again, and all I could say was "Um, I don't know". I do know the "real" reasons I moved here, but I think I'm beginning to reconsider those reasons. It's far too cold for my flavor and I'm the kind of person who typically says that I'd rather be cold than hot because you can always put more clothes on, or sit by the fire, etc. but again, I'm rethinking those thoughts.
I just kinda hate it.
I know and totally think snow can be pretty, and it's the prettiest in Star Valley:

and I love to watch it fall from the skies, and make snowmen and all that jazz but when the following happens... those thoughts do a complete 180!

Today was the topper of it all! I was at a friend/new co-workers house and had parked in her driveway which is a little on the steep side, but the driveway was totally clear and I thought I was safe until... the neighbour across the street (another friend/co-worker) emailed to tell us that my car was 3/4 of the way in the street. I ran outstide to see my cute little Passat hanging out on Canyon Road... e-brake still on, but obviously not doing it's job. I must've had too much snow on my tires and it didn't like the incline of her driveway and yeah-- cars were having to swerve to get around it! That for me was it... too much snow and too cold of temperatures.
If I had an option to move to the tropics instead of the arctic tundra right now, I'd SO do it!

Abby even told me last week that she's beginning to hate the snow because she can't even ride her new scooter from Santa outside... all she can do is make circles in the garage on it and that's boring.
Sorry Abbs...
Sorry Abbs...
Maybe I should have written this in my real journal and not on here for all to see the complaining side of me, sorry...

LOL!!! Ok, that is a story that you only hear about - but never know anyone that it happens to! I'm sorry that your car went for a little drive without you... but that is funny.
I so get where you're coming from... end of January and February are the worst months in UT - the rest of the year... beautiful!! But right now... ugh!
SERIOUSLY...I hate the snow.
But I like your Suzanne Vega song. Haven't heard that forever!
I can relate...but fresh snow is SO beautiful!!!
Come back to Cali!!! Hang in there lady... spring is just around the corner.
I hate the snow too. I hate to be cold and I would move to Arizona right now in a heartbeat.
Libby also got a scooter from Santa that she can't ride "why can't we just go to Glendora mom?". But we found a place on 90th south, Classic Skate, where they can bring their scooters, bikes, cozy coups, anything with wheels to ride around the rink. You'll have to come up and go with us. We went last week and Libby scootered for 4 hours!
You SOOOOO need to move to Arizona!! It's the BEST! Yes, we love it here. Even in the SUMMER. It's all worth it when you can go to the zoo, the park & go on bike rides in January!!
