Update from the Slacker!

From this day forward, I vow that I will no longer be the biggest blogging slacker on the planet. Life has been busy, and full, and seems non-stop, but one of my New Years Resolutions was to be a better blogger, so here we go!

Update:
Abby is 8, still has an attitude, but makes up for it when she's sweet and tender and shows it! I constantly tell my girls that it makes me sad when they make bad choices because I KNOW that THEY know better. I've seen them do the right thing, so it's a constant work in progress, as it is with all of us. Abby loves school, and has too many friends for me to count. She's given up her favorite pastime of "chasing boys" supposedly. She's a fun girl who can be quiet and shy, but is so genuine and has such a tender heart!

Brenna is 6 3/4 (which is what she tells everyone, since her b-day is coming up!). She is my sassafrass and has the funniest personality! The other day we were getting ready for school, and she looked in the mirror and started crying. She said she has "fat lips and they aren't cute!" She's too young to be worrying about those things if you ask me, but my fingers are crossed that the drama will end by the time my girls hit those dreaded teenage years. Brenna also loves school too, and says that she has taken over her sisters hobby of chasing boys. Seriously, I'm in trouble. I know this.

Both girls are taking Piano lessons, and guess what? They both hate it. But I'm being the mean mom and am making them stick with it. As I write, Brenna is giving me every possible excuse as to why she shouldn't practice, and she won't believe me that it'll be easier to read the music if she stops crying!

As for me, I started a new job with Intermountain Healthcare in August and love it! I work in the extremely busy office of Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics. The only downside to the job is that I'm gone a lot more than I'd like to be, but I am grateful to at least have a job. I also still work in Young Womens with the Beehives and love my calling! I love, love, love being in YW! They make me feel not so old, and I like that... A LOT!

We also just realized we've been in Utah 5 years this week! Yikes! It definitely doesn't seem that long and we have LOVED living here! I've made some amazing friends and feel like this really is "home".

Yeah! I've been wondering how the baptism went and how your Christmas was and everything. So fun to read all about it! Your girls keep getting cuter and cuter everytime I see them. I love Abby's party, Libby was already thinking ahead to her 9th birthday and wants to do a cooking party too. Fun!
