Not to downplay Abby's big day, but we had some excitement here in Springville today... I got a phone call from my Aunt Ruth Ann who said she just heard from her employer (who lives in our neighborhood) that there was a black bear in the neighborhood. WHAT?!?! I had just left my kids with a neighbor friend, and although I trust my friend 100% with the safety of my children, I couldn't help but feel nervous.
Come to find out, the bear sighting was earlier this morning...
but the part that still makes me feel uneasy is the fact that there was a
BEAR IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!
Here's the link to the story: http://www.abc4.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=fc18d37f-9678-45ce-929e-bc20b5d22cb4
It was seen about 2 blocks from our house and I don't love the part of the story when it says "it ran off into the mountain side"- yeah that's where we live--- between where it was last seen and the mountain side!!
I think I'd much rather see a bear in Yellowstone than our backyard, but as my cousin Jodi said- they drove around Yellowstone for 2 days and never saw a bear once! I'd still be willing to give it a try... since that is where they belong.

My boys want you to call us if your bear returns. We'll bring our cameras and pretend we're in Yellowstone.
Oh my! what's next, lions and tigers?
I'm glad I wasn't home to see all the excitement! Hopefully, Yogi will stay in the mountains where he belongs!
In Springville???
