Today is a day that I don't mean to dwell on, but it's a day I won't ever forget. It's been 4 years today since my dad passed away. Each year I think it will be easier to pass these milestones, but it's not the case for me. For some reason, I have been having a tough week... but although I've cried and gone through more pairs of contacts this week, I love the memories I have of my cute dad and that I've been able to reflect on.
As I re-read his eulogy that his brother-in-law and best friend Dennis gave at his funeral- I was again reminded of the lives he touched and the outstanding person he was. My dad was a man who was loved by all, he had no enemies, he loved the little things in life, he loved his family as well as his friends with his whole heart, he had a testimony that was as firm as a rock, he was always a missionary, and he would do anything for anyone without hesitation. He was a man that I admire in more ways than I can put into words and I couldn't be more grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation and that I have no doubt that he is watching over us daily.
I love you Dad and miss you more than imaginable... thank you for being the best dad anyone could ask for!
