The girls and I were able to escape for a quick, but extremely fun weekend with Grandpa & Grandma Carlton in Las Vegas!
Being back in reality is not my favorite, but we had such an amazing time so it was all worth it!

We really are so lucky to be able to have these little get-aways with the Carltons and are so grateful for them and all they do for us!
On our way down, we made a stop in my new favorite town: Washington, Utah. It's my new favorite because even though they planted these trees like 9 years ago, they've finally done what Utah has been wanting and needing all along...

The buildings are so uniform looking, it's almost comforting!
Once we got to Grandpa & Grandma's, we took a walk to the park and let the girls play a bit before dinner.
They had fun on the slides with Grandma & Grandpa-
& we even caught Grandpa going down on his own!

We also went to the Damn Dam, a.k.a. The Hoover Dam.
(I remember thinking I was SO cool as a kid because I could use a swear word without really swearing- and I couldn't get in trouble for it!)
This place was amazing though, I've never been there and we decided when the girls are a little older and actually care about Damn Dams, we'll go back and take the official Dam Tour.
we all concluded that even when this bridge is complete- we will NEVER want to use it to get across... way too high for my taste!

Abby & Brenna love swimming in Grandpas pool and he's even nice enough to heat it for them- they're so spoiled!
While they were swimming, I needed to get some work done, so I decided the only way to convince myslef to do it was to do it like this:

We also went down onto the strip with all the psychos that invade Vegas on the weekends. We took the girls to M&M World and the Coke Factory, they thought it was cool!

Grandpa was walking behind us on the strip and said "Hey Debra, do you notice something orange in front of you", to which I responded with "yeah, I've been watching it for 1/2 mile and am ready to get my camera out"... and then I did! It was much better in person, promise!

looks like a lot of fun!! Scott & I are ready to get away...maybe vegas! We'll steer away from anything in an orange tube top for a skirt!
oh fun trip! The girls always love visiting the Vegas grandparents. Yum In-N-Out, I can only imagine how long that line will be today! I wonder if people camped out?
