I'm not exactly sure how I feel right now. It's a bittersweet feeling having both of my girls in the public school system! They were so cute as Abby was giving Brenna advice on the "what to dos" at the big kid school, and Brenna showing her confidence by telling me that she will always raise her hand in class, and say excuse me "because it's important to be polite mom".
I do know that today makes me feel old. As I was getting ready this morning, and noticing the beloved wrinkles around my eyes, I realized that I have them because:
1. I am getting old(er)- that's a fact
and
2. I have raised 2 beautiful girls that challenge me in so many ways, but they also teach me SO much!
Therefore, my wrinkles are worth it because my girls are worth it!
I asked her if she was excited about today and this was her response!
I'm not sure this could be any cuter...

Why am I sad that today has come when she is SO EXCITED about it!?

Ok, I'm dying laughing... because I can just picture you with your camera documenting every move she makes. Even one ON the bus! That bus driver must have been cracking up. (for the record, I would have done the same thing!) But I can just imagine it in my mind... and it makes me laugh.
Brenna's gonna be the top of her class... she'll be tutoring all the other kids!!
Darling pictures ... she is quite the 'grown-up ... teenager'!!! I cannot believe how well she reads!! She's amazing ... and so is her mom.
I'm sure Brenna was the only one on her first day of school to have a new back pack that absolutely matched her first day of school outfit. [Anal Mom??] Fun to have gotten the 'home from 1st day of school' phone call. She's off and running!

What a darling post of a darling little girl! I love the photos... and I appreciate the fact that you are left at home (like all mommys) feeling a little sad that your baby is off to school. Keep up the good work.
Brenna looks way too grown up. Has it really been that long since I've seen her?
Talmage put his back pack on an hour and 1/2 early on the first day of school because he was so excited to go.
I didn't have tears watching Talmage head off to Kindergarten, however; today I realized that Tanner will be ordained a deacon in 2 weeks and a flood of emotions hit me. They grow up so fast!
ohhhh, she looks darling on her 1st day! i know just how ya feel. I just sent my baby to preschool today for the first time. I did not know what to do with myself. we are getting old!
