Todays date is September 29th, am I right? I think we all could agree that on this date, the nights should be cool & crisp and the leaves are a beautiful blend of colors on the mountains, and everyone is decorating their houses with pumpkins and all things fall... so I ask- why in tarnation is it SNOWING on September 29th?!?!?! Are you kidding me? I heard on the news last night that there will definitley be mountain snow today, and possibly some valley snow, but I didn't really believe them since yesterday I was out mowing the lawn (and breaking a sweat) and didn't think it was possible. But no-...we got DUMPED on!

I realized though that there is nothing I can do about it since my name is not Mother Nature, so why not take pictures! Abby & Brenna were so excited to see it and Brenna said "I am so glad it is finally snowing" (as if she had really been waiting for it to come or something... silly girl). And Abby told me that this is a big problem because it's not supposed to snow yet because all the kids still have to go trick-or-treating and if it's snowing, no one will be able to go to all the neighbors houses.

Abby all decked out in whatever snow gear she cold find... most of it is still tucked away.

She kept telling me that she made a snowball, but I didn't think that much snow had stuck to the lawn... yeah, I was wrong.

Our pumpkins have snow hats on!

The poor tree was having a hard time with the heavy, wet snow.
Don't fret- mom got her galoshes on and knocked it off to try to save it!

I left Utah and it was 80 degrees. What happened? I want my "sweater" weather! Cute snow hats on the pumpkins.

I seriously can't believe it! Snow! That is way too early and I hope that it's not a sign of the winter to come. I'm sure the kids were loving it though. Utah weather...it's so strange.

I was in the nonbeliever category of the Valley snow. Boy I was wrong! At least it was pretty and melted fast!!!

Personally I LOVED it -- we got to have a fire in the stove ... and it was soooo pretty. (I know I won't feel that way in January!!)

Oh man! My dad sent us pictures of the snow at his house! That night we were riding quads out in the desert...in the 80's! That's crazy! Hopefully the girls don't have snow on Halloween! I remember having snow one Halloween. I had to wear a coat over my costume and also snow boots....I was freezing! Here in AZ we are just hoping it's under 90!
