Me time!

This is my blog, right? Good because we're now going to talk about me for a few minutes. Shocker I know, but we are. I'm trying to blog this backwards so it posts properly (I wish blogger would let you arrange the order of your blogs... I'll have to submit that request at another time). Anyway- here's some random pics of my alone time in California! I seriously had a GREAT time and already wish I had another trip planned. In time I will... it was well worth it for the amount of fun I had. I didn't document as much as I would have liked, but here's some random pics from my couple days back "home".

I decided I wanted to go see one of my oldest friends Kelly (Merrick) James on my way down to CA... we've been friends since pre-kindergarten. She lives between Barstow and Victorville which in my opinion is in the middle of no where, but 'Silver Lakes' where she lives is SO nice! It seemed really out of the way, but it was well worth it! We had a great visit, but the only thing I have to document it is this picture of old Route 66 which took me out to her house. I left the camera in the car... lame, I know.
Oh wait- here's some fun old pics of me and Kelly!

That would be Debra Crook & Kelly Merrick age 6, maybe 7 singing "Geneology, I am doing it" for a school talent show! Our moms were funny having us sing a primary song in a public school!

And here's a super old/super scary/super tattered pic of us when we were 17 or so.
We wore LOTS of make-up (hence the super scary comment)!

Anyway- that visit was fun. I'm glad I did it! Then I was off to my friend Katie's house in Glendale. Katie and I are such goof balls together... we may be almost 30 years old, but when we're together- we totally regress back to being 16 and love every minute of it! I love my Katie O (S)!

But first I tried my luck and held the camera up while driving to get a picture of the exit to our old house off the 210 & it WORKED!

I miss Glendora... a lot.

We had to do the infamous red light car shot. She had to direct me in the crazy town of Glendale... it's much different from my comfortable surroundings of Glendora.

We went to the mall and it was so fun to not have kids there... we got to look at stuff for us and do what we wanted to do. It was almost like the first time your parents allow you to go to the mall with just friends... maybe not. We still had fun though and got a little snack at the best pretzel place! Love Auntie Anne's!

SHOCKER! Debra ate at In-N-Out! We went to what I consider to be the busiest, yet most organized In-N-Out ever, and it was SO worth it.

Then there's me sitting in traffic driving WITH all the crazies heading out of LA @ 5:00 on a Friday! Yeah, I wasn't thinking, but I was going to see my old friend Micah and I figured it wouldn't hurt me to sit in LA traffic once a year.
