"Comin' to America"

For as long as I can remember, we had "travel music" as a family growing up. It consisted mostly of the Beach Boys, misc. oldies bands, sometimes Anne Murray, Barry Manilow and our all time family favorite: Neil Diamond's Jazz Singer. It's still a favortie of all of ours and my girls love it just as much! (Randmon side note: when Brenna was way little we were in the car one day and she kept saying "mmmca" over and over again and we couldn't figure it out, then finally my mom turned on 'America' on the Jazz Singer CD and she was happy and wanting to sing along!) This song was the song to be played while driving through the Virgin River Gorge in the Arizona part of the CA to UT trek. It ALWAYS reminds me of my dad and is a fun memory we all keep up while making this drive. Good times for sure! But, for some reason when my girls and I were driving down to Disneyland last fall, I turned on the infamous "Comin' to America" and we rolled all the windows down and opened the sunroof and BLASTED it about 3 or 4 times until we were out of the gorge.. the girls LOVED it! So, this year we did it again. I figured out how to hold the camera above my head and just press the button while still being in total control of my car. I have skills that some of you may not know about, I know. So, here's some of the fun shots we got of the wind-blown fun!

Thinking about you taking pictures while driving through the gorge? That is a little scary -- glad you are so talented!! Great pictures. Glad you had a good time and returned home safely.
